What's with the name?

We often get the question, what is with the name TreeLine? Great question! In nature a tree line is simply defined as the edge of the habitat at which trees are capable of growing. It is found at high elevations and high latitudes. Beyond the tree line, trees cannot tolerate the environmental conditions (usually cold temperatures or associated lack of available moisture). Simply put life doesn't exist beyond the tree line. This created a word picture for our vision. We want to be a church positioned at the edge of the "TreeLine" reaching out to those who need to experience new life found in Jesus. Our hearts desire is to be a church for the unchurched. We also have a strong passion to reach and equip the next generation, so TreeLine has come to represent the family trees that will be changed due to a lifelong relationship with Jesus. That is what the name TreeLine is all about!
